  • £100 returnable deposit for weddings and adult parties

  • Hall and Conference Room to be left as found

  • Confirmed bookings that are cancelled without notice may be charged

  • Hire includes: Heating and Lighting,WiFi, Music Licence, also use of kitchen by agreement

  • If required an Alcohol Licence can be applied for (Temporary Event Notice TEN) - cost £21 - Contact Cornwall Council to apply for a TEN. You must apply at least 10 clear working days before your event. You will have to pay a fee of £21. You must send a copy of the TEN to the police and environmental health at least 10 working days before the event. If you apply online, the council will contact the police and environmental health for you. You can only apply for a TEN as an individual, not an organisation. APPLY FOR A TEN

  • Block bookings are paid in advance

  • Stage extension and stage lighting - by agreement depending on usage

Special Reduced Prices:

  • Use of Hall or conference Room for one hour only - by agreement

  • Childrens parties in Main Hall

  • Conferences in Conference Room minimum £20 for 2 hours

Facilities

The facilities available include:

Free parking with 2 disabled spaces

Entry is by key code

Fully accessible toilets are unlocked from inside the hall

The fully fitted kitchen has a water boiler to make hot drinks, 3 pump action thermos flasks, a fridge, cooker, microwave, 3 sinks, crockery and cutlery for 100, Stainless steel work surfaces. Bring your own drying up and hand towels.

Small and large folding tables are available on separate trollies for ease of moving - can seat 100.

The stage is well equipped with basic lighting and facilities for a remote lighting control board at the back of the room. There is a stage extension and steps from the front if needed. There is a back room that can be used for costume changing if necessary.

Seating is available for 100 with standing room for an additional 50 people if necessary in the main hall and seating for up to 30 in the conference room

WiFi is available throughout the building

A CD player links into the speaker system in the main hall

A wireless microphone linking with the main hall speaker system is also available

Storage is available for regular users at a small weekly charge

Heating is controlled by a thermostat at the right side of the stage looking from the hall

Defibrillator available outside on the front wall of the hall

Toilets. Separate male, female and disability toilets are available

History

The hall was originally built in 1911 as a drill hall for the territorial army. Since then it has been used for various functions including dance, theatre, concerts etc. More recently the building is used for a wide range of community activities and can be booked by a variety of organisations and for private events and parties.
